Trebuchet Chardonnay comes from the Western Cape of South Africa and brings a vibrant palate with an oaky surprise.
This South African white is composed of 100% Chardonnay and has a flavor profile enhanced by different yeasts. The grapes are handpicked, sorted, destemmed, and only lightly pressed to ensure good quality juice for fermentation. Once fermented, wines are oak matured on staves for 5 months, bringing a light oak character to the wine.
In the glass, Trebuchet Chardonnay has a pale gold and bright appearance. Enjoy a youthful flavorful effect of fruit and yellow cling peaches lifted by citrus peel on the palate. A subtle biscuit overlay reflects the light oak-aging, introducing a savory note. This wine shines due to its balance and fruit vitality underpinned by a lively, vibrant freshness.
