Alpine Rift Sauvignon Blanc 2025

Nestled between New Zealand's Southern Alps and the Pacific Ocean lies a major geological fault line — a landscape shaped over millions of years. Ancient glacial soils, cool sunny days, and shelter from wild westerly winds create the perfect conditions for Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc. Alpine Rift takes this classic style further: low-yielding fruit from exceptional sites, with a portion of wild fermentation in old French oak, delivering a new level of richness and complexity.

Tasting Notes

Enticing aromas of white nectarine, cassis leaf, passionfruit, and a hint of jalapeño. On the palate, mineral and flinty yet ripe and richly textured, with taut tropical fruit and crisp citrus acidity on the finish.

Winemaking

Fruit sourced from select sites across Marlborough's Southern Valleys, Central Wairau Plains, and Awatere Valley. Harvested by machine before sunrise, gently pressed and cold settled for three days. Fermented in a combination of stainless steel tanks and old French oak puncheons using both cultured and indigenous wild yeasts.
