Angostura 7 Year Aged Rum is a richly flavored Caribbean rum from the House of Angostura in Trinidad — produced from molasses using a five-column still, aged at least 7 years in charred American oak ex-bourbon barrels, then hand-drawn, mixed, filtered, and bottled at 40% ABV. Heavily packed with maple, chocolate, honey, and toffee for a rich, full-bodied character that tapers into a classic rum finish.
The House of Angostura traces to Dr. Johann Siegert’s 1824 creation of the original aromatic bitters; the company moved to Trinidad in 1876 and began producing rum. The butterfly on the bottle references both the Barcant Collection of 5,000+ butterflies housed at Angostura and the swarms that gather around ripened sugarcane at harvest — a nod to the brand’s connection to its tropical Caribbean environment.
