The Scotch Malt Whisky Society have released this Highland Blair Athol 16 year old named ‘Campfire Coffee’
Distilled on the 24th of August 2007 the spirit rested initially in an ex-bourbon hogshead before a final aging in 1st fill ex-PX hogshead.
This Society cask N0.68.124 offers a deep and rich flavour profile. The taste is dark and intense like a campfire coffee with a fruit and nut chocolate bar. There's creamy mocha, maple syrup, star anise and treacle notes on the palate. A splash of water reveals panettone with a glass of chocolate liqueur.
