The complete set of 8 Blanton's Black Label Special Reserve Single Barrel Bourbon bottles — each stopper a different letter spelling B-L-A-N-T-O-N'-S, with the horse and jockey figurines showing 8 scenes of a horse race from starting gate to finish line.
Blanton's Single Barrel Bourbon was created in 1984 by Master Distiller Elmer T. Lee as the world's first commercially marketed single barrel bourbon. The iconic horse-and-jockey stopper — introduced with the original release — became one of the most recognized collectible elements in American spirits. There are eight different stopper designs, each with a different letter molded into it. Placed in order spelling "B L A N T O N ' S", the horse and jockey poses display eight sequential scenes of a thoroughbred race from standing at the gate to crossing the finish line in triumph.
Blanton's Black Label Special Reserve is the international market expression produced for exceptional smoothness and a clean finish. Made with a sour mash of corn, rye, and malted barley before maturing in American White Oak casks in Warehouse H — the only metal-clad warehouse at Buffalo Trace, commissioned by Colonel Albert B. Blanton. The Black Label is bottled at 80 proof, making it the smoothest and most approachable expression in the Blanton's lineup. A complete 8-bottle set represents all possible stoppers — a finished collection in the most literal sense.
Please read before purchasing: Due to Blanton's wax seal design, there is potential for leakage during transit. Resolution options are available if shipping protection is purchased, but replacements and exchanges are not offered. Bags are not included.
