Cardrona Growing Wings is a five-year-old single malt whisky from Cardrona Distillery, a family-founded producer set high in New Zealand's Southern Alps in the Cardrona Valley of Central Otago. One of the few true New Zealand single malts to reach American shelves, Growing Wings marks the young distillery's spirit coming into its own, bottled at full cask strength and imported through Hotaling & Co.

Five years in oak give the whisky a rich, honeyed core of malt, apricot, and raisin, layered with toffee, vanilla, and dark chocolate. At cask strength the delivery is intense and concentrated, while a few drops of water open orchard fruit and gentle baking spice on the way to a long, warming finish.
