French Herbal Liqueur | 45% ABV (90 Proof) | 700mL | Special Yellow Chartreuse Cuvée | Created with M.O.F. Sommeliers
Chartreuse Cuvée des MOF Liqueur, also known as Chartreuse Cuvée des Meilleurs Ouvriers de France Sommeliers, is a special Yellow Chartreuse cuvée first created in 2008 by the Chartreux Fathers in collaboration with the Meilleurs Ouvriers de France Sommeliers. This expression was designed to highlight the aromatic complexity of Chartreuse through the perspective of France’s top sommeliers.
Like other Chartreuse liqueurs, Cuvée des MOF is made from alcohol, sugar, water, and a secret blend of 130 plants, barks, roots, spices, and flowers. Bottled at 45% ABV, it sits between classic Yellow Chartreuse and Green Chartreuse in strength, offering a richer, more structured take on the softer yellow style.
The profile is golden, herbal, sweet, and complex, with notes of candied citrus, mint, génépi, anise, chamomile, violet, basil, lemon thyme, lemon verbena, spruce, licorice, fennel, and gentle spice. It is best served chilled as a digestif, over ice, or used in refined cocktails where its herbal depth can stand out.
Chartreuse Cuvée des MOF Liqueur is best served well chilled between 12°C and 13°C as a digestif. This serving temperature helps reveal its layered herbal, citrus, floral, and spice notes while keeping the sweetness balanced and smooth.
It can also be enjoyed over ice or used in cocktails that traditionally call for Yellow Chartreuse. Try it in an Alaska, Naked & Famous variation, Diamondback-style cocktail, or a simple spritz with sparkling wine and citrus. It also pairs well with dark chocolate, citrus desserts, almond pastries, cheese, herbal desserts, and after-dinner pours.
