This small batch release is a marriage of hand-selected low rye (21%) and high rye (36%) Bourbon barrels, all aged for a minimum of 8 years. The Whiskey was finished in a combination of Armagnac, Sherry, Cognac, and Port casks.
On the nose, this whiskey displays fruity aromas of baked apples and roasted plums. Once sipped, fruit flavors continue with blackberry jam and maraschino cherry before turning richer with notes of flourless chocolate cake and burnt sugar. The finish is layered with hints of dark roast coffee, baking chocolate and vanilla pipe tobacco.
