Corsair Barreled Gin

Barrel aged gin has become increasingly popular with Corsair leading revival of this style of Gin. The company distills in small batches using a vapor basket system instead of boiling/maceration common in other gins. A vapor system allows a truer flavor to come through because botanicals go through an extraction process rather than a cooking process. Corsair then rests it in their used spiced rum barrels to impart vanilla, fall spice notes and wood to the finished product.

Corsair never uses artificial flavors or colors, achieving superior flavor and color only through quality ingredients and innovative distillation practices.

The Barreled Gin has a classic gin forward nose that evolves into a spice medley of cinnamon, clove and coriander. Anise, black licorice, clove hit the pallet initially but give way to vanilla and rum notes before a clean dry finish.
