Dràm Mòr is an independent spirits bottler established in 2019 by husband and wife team Kenny and Viktorija Macdonald. The company started as an export agency for Scottish brands, but as demand for independent, high-quality spirits increased, we decided it was time to venture into the world of independent bottling.
Inchfad gets its name from an island in the south-east of Loch Lomond, which is home to a ruined distillery. It enjoyed a short-lived release as one of a number of single cask bottlings released by the Loch Lomond distillery in the mid-2000s. Heavily peated in style, youthful Inchfad is described as embodying soft fruit and malty notes with a hint of smoke when matured in ex-Bourbon casks. Total worldwide outturn: 205 bottles.
Nose: Peat smoke, oil/tar, fruit funk, peppercorns.
Palate: Typical Inchfad - an odd combo of fruity, smoky, meaty, maltiness in sherry that somehow works together. Proves the sum is greater than the parts.
Finish: Long and smokey with fruit continuing from the palate.
