Named after a passionate kitchen table debate nearly four decades ago, this world-class Napa Valley blend embodies the depth and complexity of an estate program built on artful varietal blending from diverse vineyard sources.

The 2021 vintage was shaped by an unusually dry winter and warm spring, with light clusters and small berries yielding reduced quantities and exceptional concentration. A mid-September cool-down allowed sugars to realign with flavor development, and the final red grapes were harvested before late October rains — resulting in wines that are dense, pure, and polished.

On the nose, brambly red currants, black raspberry, fig compote, and rose petals. The palate is supple and velvety with powdery tannins and wonderful complexity from extended barrel aging, finishing with hints of toasted hazelnut, cocoa powder, and nutmeg.
