Active in Chilean agriculture, grape growing and winemaking since 1740, the Echeverría family established their current vineyards and winery in 1923 on the outskirts of Molina, a town in the Curicó Valley. Here, they cultivate vines on 80 hectares, growing grapes from French pre-phylloxera rootstocks that are well suited to their hillside plots and cool-night conditions. Originally established to produce bulk wines, the winery underwent a major transformation in 1990, when it was converted to focus on quality wines destined for export. In the ensuing years, Echeverría emerged as one of Chile’s early boutique operations, distinguishing itself with a commitment to artisanal craft and careful handling of fruit. The family proudly became the first Chilean winery to sell wine to Harrods in London, signaling a new level of international recognition for their wines and for the Chilean boutique sector as a whole.

One distinctive offering from the estate is a skin-contact wine, characterized by its golden-amber color and honeyed aromas of rosehip and orange blossom. The palate is light-bodied, offering bright tangerine and orange flavors with a juicy, refreshing texture that lingers pleasantly. This profile reflects the winery’s philosophy of expressing site and grape character through careful vinification, rather than relying on heavy extraction. The Echeverría estate continues to honor its long-standing family tradition while embracing modern techniques, ensuring that both the heritage and the innovation of Chilean winemaking are celebrated in every bottle.
