Elijah Craig 20 Year Old Single Barrel Bourbon is part of a series of bourbons named after the reverend Elijah Craig, a well-renowned master distiller, Baptist preacher, entrepreneur, and educator. In 1789, a fire accidentally charred some barrels, which dramatically improved the whisky inside and transformed the process of bourbon making. Recognizing the significance of this discovery, Craig earned the title of "The Father of Bourbon." Over the years, he refined his barrel charring techniques, leading to a unique spirit that has been cherished for over 250 years. Bottled solely from the contents of one barrel aged for twenty years, this bourbon is a must-have for connoisseurs. Produced at the historic Heaven Hill Distillery, still family-owned by the Shapira family, it is located in Bardstown, Kentucky, and is part of a portfolio that includes notable brands like Henry McKenna, Larceny bourbon, Evan Williams, and Rittenhouse.
