Chemex Filters:
The most common option. These allow a faster flow rate compared to no filter, so you’ll need to grind a bit finer to maintain proper extraction.
909 Lab Filters: Much finer and slower—these can slow espresso extraction and improve clarity (like the chemex) by providing finer filtration. You will need to grind much courser compared to not using a paper at all. Cant decide? Get both :)
Chemex filters are hand cut:
Oxygen cleansed which is a bleach-free process, ensuring no chemical residue or taste is imparted to the filter.
Compostable and biodegradable.
909 Lab fitlers are hand cut:
Ahlstrom Grade 909 qualitative cellulose paper with ~3 µm nominal retention and medium flow for finer particle capture
Wet-strengthened with a small, insoluble resin for durability when saturated; ideal for consistent, uniform filtration.
If sizing does not fit properly let us know. We will replace or refund.
