Ferrand Le Renegade is a bold and innovative Cognac that honors historical techniques while pushing the boundaries of traditional maturation. Produced from Premier Cru Grande Champagne grapes, this Cognac begins its aging process in the humid cellars of Maison Ferrand in France. It then embarks on a unique journey to the tropical shores of Barbados for a second phase of maturation in extremely humid conditions near the Caribbean Sea. This double maturation technique infuses the Cognac with an added depth, enhancing its complexity and character.
This Cognac has been distilled in 2014 and bottled in 2024.
On the nose, Le Renegade reveals fresh fruit aromas of peach and apricot, layered with walnut and prune undertones, all rounded off by sweet vanilla notes from the tropical barrels. The palate is marked by its smoothness and roundness, with a remarkable depth from the tropical maturation. The warm climate accentuates the angel’s share, intensifying the flavors and resulting in a long and structured finish.
