Found North 19 Year Old Batch 009 Cask Strength Canadian Whisky

With its 19-year age statement, Batch 009 is our oldest Batch release to date as well as our largest. We are excited to celebrate the unique profiles allowed by old whisky with a greater number of Found North enthusiasts. In creating Batch 009 we followed our blending process of focusing on a key component whisky and developing complimentary flavors around it.

While predominantly a corn distillate-based blend (91/8/1), the key component for 009 was in fact a 19-year-old rye component that spent its last year in Ruby Port Hogsheads.  Batch 009 is not only our oldest Batch release, but is also our most intricate blend. Our blending team required eight different components to achieve the final result, interweaving many distinct profiles to create a complex tapestry of flavor. Crucial to the blend was a triplet of 23-year-old Corn distillates aged in new American or second fill American Oak, which provided the foundation of the final blend.
