Hancock's President's Reserve Bourbon Whiskey

The secret, unacknowledged cousin of Blanton’s, Elmer T. Lee, and Ancient Age, Hancock’s is also made by Buffalo Trace, though the brand’s marketing has not dwelt on the its family history. Just as many of us did when we moved to New York, Hancock’s is striking out on its own to create something charismatic and original. Still, if you like the above Bourbons you are probably going to like Hancock’s, too. It got classic notes of vanilla and sweet corn, lightly toasted nuts, and a hint of cedar on the nose. The palate is rich and warm and the finish is peppery with a hint of burnt sugar.
