Heaven's Door Revelation Double Barrel is 6-year-old whiskey recasked in alligator-charred new American oak barrels, deepening the colour and imparting flavours of dark, toasted vanilla. The finished product came out so smooth, it was bottled at American 100 proof (50% ABV).
Heaven's Door is an award-winning collection of handcrafted American Whiskeys developed in partnership with Bob Dylan. The perfect blend of art and craft, each bottle of Heaven's Door features Dylan's distinctive welded-iron gates, created in his studio, Black Buffalo Ironworks.
Producer's Tasting Notes
Nose: Maple with milled grains and a light nuttiness. Dried berries, vanilla custard, and toasted oak.
Palate: Caramel, dough, dark cherry, Meyer lemon. Dry oak, vanilla bean, dried apricot. Coconut backed by orange oil and cocoa with woody overtones.
Finish: Medium length; the sweet finish again showcases vanilla, oak, and spice.
