JURA continues its endeavor in innovation with the impressive Impressa Z9 super-automatic espresso machine. The Z9 features a highly navigable TFT display that can be programmed to show a list of your personal favorites on the main screen, ready to brew at the push of a button. This one-touch machine comes pre-loaded with six specialty drinks at the ready. Browseable through the TFT display, JURA provides the tools and settings to save or customize eleven total drinks using the rotary switch on top of the machine. One subtle, but important feature are the five strength settings that can dose up to 16 grams of coffee for a true double shot of espresso. Not many super-automatics can boast the same feature. You can also adjust the coffee volume; and hot water can be adjust across three settings. Similarly, the Z9 also features a dial above the dispenser that controls the density of milk froth before, or during, brewing. For us at the office, this is critical and makes the difference between a latte macchiato and a cappuccino incredibly clear.

As with other JURA machines, the Z9 is hygienic and has convenient cleaning cycles pre-programmed in. The 2.7 L water tank can be easily removed, and is designed to work with a Clearyl Blue water filter to ensure great tasting coffee and reduce the need for descaling. The filters comes pre-activated for an extra level of convenience. The machine automatically rinses on start up, and displays a reminder to clean the milk circuit on-screen when needed. All of the maintenance processes, such as brew group cleaning and descaling, will throw alerts as well, and are easily accessed through the TFT display where they can be performed by adding cleaner and pressing a button.
