Kikuhime Brewery was founded in 1573 by the Yanagi family in Ishikawa Prefecture. This sake is made of 100% Yamada Nishiki rice milled to 65% and is a blend of base junmai sake aged in horo tank (ceramic lined steel tank) at low temperatures for 1 – 2 years. A soft sake with complex flavors of honeycomb, pear, cream, roasted almonds and nougat, softer aromas of pear blossom will emerge as the sake opens in the glass. Delicious chilled, but when gently warmed the flavors deepen and the sweetness become more prominent.
