Commercial Description:
Since 1889, Korbel has been expertly crafting California brandies that are high quality and rich in flavor. Korbel is one of the major brandy makers in the U.S. which still maintains total control of its own wine making, brandy distillation, barrel aging, blending and bottling. Our own people, in our own facilities, closely control every step of the brandy making process.
We crush and ferment only the finest California brandy grapes to make our base wines. Those wines are then distilled in copper lined stills and transferred to small American Oak barrels that are charred internally leaving a charcoal layer that stays in contact with the brandy in the barrels providing the brandy with rich flavors and a deep amber color. Korbel Classic Brandy spends a minimum of two years in barrels and emphasizes fresh, youthful character that can be enjoyed neat or in blended drinks.
