In this Ploughing Edition (Third Crop) for 2024 - the fourth in a final set of four limited editions - Signature Lochlea spirit is matured in Ex-Islay peated casks. The liquid is one year older than the 2023 edition and amplifies the smoky and coastal flavours we've come to expect from these casks.
This whisky opens with fresh green apples, sweet toffee and comforting notes of signature Lochlea cereal. The palate offers more fresh fruit, giving way to wonderful savoury smoke and malted biscuits. The finish reveals moreish fresh coastal notes of sea salt and a long lingering hint of peat.
