The 2022 Rosé Riviera is a vibrant pink color. It displays a sweetly scented bouquet of white smoke, strawberries and confectioners spice. This is zesty and vibrant on the palate. Brisk acidity and candied citrus tones further enhance its crisp orchard fruits. The medium-length finish is refreshing, tapering off crunchy while leaving the mouth watering for more.

Tasting Notes

Ballet slipper pink with just a slight orange hue. Very pronounced creamy aromas of strawberry and watermelon with floral notes of verbena, passion fruit, and orange blossom. Not shy at all right after bottling. Dry, crisp and dancing on the palate. Just right fruitiness and candy cane flavors that include subtle banana, strawberry, and sweet tarts. The fruitiness is balanced with a touch of mouthwatering acidity and plenty of verve.

About the Wine

Riviera Rosé, called "Riviera" as Santa Barbara is known as the American Riviera based on its' southern facing, Mediterranean climate. This is the perfect wine to accompany the picnics, dinners, and BBQs. Enjoy Riviera Rosé on the lake or by the pool. You can take this Rosé just about anywhere. Our winemaker, Doug consulted at a winery in the south of France for 4 years where this style of rosé is made. 

Grenache. Mourvedre and Syrah picked specifically for our rosé. The grapes are crushed and immediately pressed into stainless steel tanks for a long cold fermentation. The wine is blended with various lots of Counoise, Cinsault, and Grenache that were saignéed. Saignée is a winemaking process where we bleed off a portion of the slightly pink juice from the red must right after crush.

Maturation:  95% Stainless Steel and 5% Barrel Fermented

Blend: 86% Grenache, 7% Counoise, 5% Syrah, 2% Mourvèdre
