Michter's 20 Year Old Kentucky Straight Bourbon 2015 Release (I736) is among the rarest expressions ever produced by Michter's — with only 201 bottles filled from a single barrel, representing one of the most limited and sought-after allocations in the entire Michter's ultra-premium range, produced from barrels that were laid down and matured for two full decades under the supervision of Master of Maturation Andrea Wilson.

Michter's 20 Year Bourbon is released only when Master Distiller Dan McKee and Andrea Wilson identify barrels that have reached the peak of their maturation potential — years with very small barrel selections may produce only a few hundred bottles, or none at all. The 201-bottle production of the 2015 I736 barrel reflects how selective the sourcing criteria are: 20 years in new charred American oak at the Fort Nelson Distillery in Louisville produces extraordinary complexity, but also dramatic variation between barrels. Only barrels meeting the full Michter's quality threshold are approved for bottling — the rest continue aging or are set aside. The result is one of the most age-stated, provenance-documented bourbons available on the secondary market.
