Planteray Rum (formerly Plantation Rum), a premium rum brand, was founded in 2003 by Alexandre Gabriel, the owner of Maison Ferrand (Citadelle Gin).
A luxurious and exquisite blend of Barbadian richness and French Savoir-Faire, creating one incredibly indulgent rum first launched in celebration of our Master Blender, Alexandre Gabriel and subsequently achieving over 55 Gold Medals making it the most awarded XO Rum.
This blended rum was aged in different casks including new white oak, bourbon casks, and Ferrand casks. Each cask was treated with a variety of toasting levels.
Nose: Predominant coconut, vanilla and Manuka honey,
Palate: Aromas from the nose follow through on the palate and are joined by candied citrus peel.
Finish: Pleasantly long with coconut lingering, joined by maple syrup and a hint of oak spice.
