A plush, fresh and juicy red that's so comfortable and easy. Made from grapes grown in both mountain and valley vineyards, and blended with 6% petit verdot and 4% cabernet franc. A large 30% of the fruit is barrel fermented, a labor intensive practice that helps deepen the color and improve the layering of fruit and oak nuances. Full-bodied and moderately tannic.

Rombauer's 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon is almost entirely estate grown and optically sorted. Mixed red and black cherries dominate the nose, accented by hints of dried sage and bay leaf. In the mouth, this full-bodied wine is plush and easy to drink. It's not a long-term keeper.

Winemaker Notes

Ripe aromas of red raspberries and red currant mingle on the nose with hints of mint and dried savory herbs. The palate is darker, full of notes of black currant, creme de cassis, and holiday baking spices. The moderate tannins providea rich and nuanced texture, framed bybright acidity which leaves a lingeringimpression on the finish.
