A silicone group gasket for Nuova Simonelli's older flat-group models, newer Aurelia-generation machines use the light blue conical version instead.

COMPATIBILITY

• Fits: Program, Optima, Personal, Program VIP, Premier, Premier Maxi, Mac Digit, Mac Cup, Mac 2000, Appia and Appia II
• Newer models: Aurelia and later use the light blue conical version instead
• NOT recommended for: home machines like the Musica, Oscar or Oscar II, the softer silicone requires more seating force than these lighter units can resist without sliding

INSTALLATION

Remove the basket from the portafilter before installing to avoid tearing the silicone; don't force it with a sharp tool.

PRO TIPS

• On home-sized machines like the Musica or Oscar, this silicone gasket's higher seating friction can cause the whole machine to slide on the counter when you lock in the portafilter, stick with a standard rubber gasket on those models.
• Use a food-safe silicone lubricant such as food-safe white grease, never petroleum-based grease. When installing, never push it in with a sharp screwdriver, it will tear; use the portafilter itself with the basket removed.
