This expression was part of the Marriage Series range from Elixir Distiller's Single Malts of Scotland. Distilled at the Jura Distillery on the isle of Mull, is 29-year-old whisky was the 'marriage' of five, carefully selected, ex-bourbon barrels that were filled between 1991 and 1992 and bottled in 2021. According to the folks at Elixer, bringing these casks together creates a more complex and rewarding dram. Whisky Drop thinks you will agree.
Nose: Caramel, clove, nectarine, digestive biscuits, liquorice and hints of wood smoke.
Palate: Strawberry and white chocolate cheesecake, barley sugars, star anise, crunchy granola.
Finish: Long, with burnt honey and toasted oak throughout the finish
