Switchgrass is beyond proud to present this new category of whiskey in their portfolio. After years of distilling and packing away barrels, they are happy to say, this is NOT a limited release, but as a new standard in their family of spirits. This 100 proof spirit was sweet mashed, batched distilled, and follows the grain bill they normally use for their award winning rye with 76% rye, 12% wheat, and 12% malted barley. This new Bottled-In-Bond rye was aged for at least four years in Missouri white oak barrels. The extended time in the barrel provides tasting notes of sweet pear, spicy pepper, cola, and warm sweetbread. This smooth sipper is sure to be a new favorite for drinking straight or elevating your favorite cocktail.
Each bottle meets the 1897 Congressional regulation for Bottled-In-Bond spirits and has a individually numbered strap reminiscent of the traditional designs originally used to designate this type of spirit.
