First launched in 2017, Tarsier Gin truly first began in 2015 when co-founders Tim Driver and Sherwin Acebuche took a backpacking trip around Southeast Asia. There, they fell in love with the region including its landscapes, people, and diverse array of fresh and vibrant flavors. Wanting to capture the simplicity and balance of the various cuisine they experienced, Tim and Sherwin began experimenting and producing their very first gin using copper alembic pot stills in a small room in the back of a pub. As they grew in ability so did their business, and they opened a larger distillery where they produce their gin using cold-distilled blends of distillates with bold flavors. Each bottle bears the symbol of its namesake; the Tarsier, which was commissioned and designed by young Filipino artist Juvel Tiu Modayno and later converted into the digital design printed on their bottles today.

They continue to experiment with ingredients and flavor as they hone their craft and share their journey with the world. The Backpacking Series, inspired by their journey, includes Tarsier Khao San Gin. The first in this series, this gin is inspired by a backpacking hub in Khao San Road in Bangkok Thailand. Its bright neon lights and aromas of kaffir lime leaf, lemongrass and Thai red chilis are captured in this beautifully crafted expression. Khao San Gin is crafted with a blend of their traditional 10 botanical distillate including juniper, coriander seeds, cassia, angelica, galangal, orris root, licorice root, bitter almond, orange peel and lemon peel, and cold-distilled Kaffir Lime Leaf, Lemongrass and Thai Red Chili. It is then bottled at 41.2% in honor of the length of the road, 412 meters. A combination of herbs, citrus, and spice this enticing gin is wonderful in an array of cocktails. Try this original gin in a classic Indian tonic with a garnish of fresh lime and chili slices!
