When Woody Creek Distillers was founded, their mission was simple: to pour everything they had into everything they made. They set out to make nothing but the finest craft spirits, each with a unique taste and character that was true to the origins of that spirit. It’s a standard they continue to hold themselves to every day. Neutral grain spirits are never used - nor do they blend with base spirits from other distillers. The distillery grows and harvests many of their own ingredients, such as the rye in the 100% rye mash whiskey. For the finishing touch, they distill every spirit they make in custom CARL stills – a shining copper example of engineering and art that turns the Earth’s freshest ingredients into the world’s most treasured spirits. Mash for this expression is 70% Corn, 15% rye and 15% barley.
Nose: Shortbread cookies, Rooibos tea.
Palate: The combination of caramel and vanilla bean creates a big mouthfeel that coats the tongue.
Finish: Baking spice on the medium length finish brings a vibrancy to the spirit that cuts down the richness.
