The name "Navy Strength" dates back to the 18th century, when gin was stored on British Navy ships next to the gunpowder. The high alcohol content (minimum of 57%) of the gin ensured that it would not destroy the gunpowder in case of a spill, so that it would still explode.
KISS Cold Gin Navy Strength 57% is a five-time distilled gin that includes juniper, lemon peel and a selection of fine spices. It contains no artificial flavors or added sweeteners, and additional flavors of juniper and lemon are macerated and blended with the distillate to achieve a full balance of botanical experience.
The nose of the gin has very clear tones of juniper, citrus and herbs, with a generous aroma and classic gin character. The palate is well-balanced with a clear character of juniper, citrus and herbs. The finish intensifies and grows in the mouth, with a full-bodied, clear and lasting character of juniper and a smooth finish that maintains an astringent character.
